Serious question? What is supposed to happen to the US born children when ICE detains their parents?

Just watched a video where parents on the way to their daughter's graduation were stopped and asked for their papers. JFC.
They have 2 adult daughters and a 16 yr old son. Luckily his sisters are adults and will step in to care for him. But what if there are no adults? This kid goes to Foster Care?

Foster care is not free. I have so much respect for people who are foster parents. So this is not a dig at them. Moreso the government concerned about "waste and fraud", removing parents that are working and caring for their child/children and now making those children a ward of the Government and paying someone else to care for the child. If the case drags on for months, or in some cases years, this child/children gets bounced around in foster care? If they are lucky they end up with a caring foster family.
Funny the MAGA/QAnon conspiracy theorists, don't seem to be concerned about the harm that could come to these kids.

They always say yes.

In Homan's view, problem solved by problem avoided.

Private prisons are loving it right now. If someone chooses to fight their case, then that could drag on for months or even years.
For clarification, I am talking about from the time they are detained to the time they are deported. It's not an immediate thing.

Hurt somebody they simply leave them there to die unless somebody helps them, it's up to the public/community to step in. Please notice that the press never discusses this since it's so fucking impossibly shitty.

and their parents - like the family separations before - and the robbing of the kids' futures is one of the main reasons I despise Trump and magats.

I've been shocked there is so little discussion of this. I don't watch any MSM news but even elsewhere it doesn't seem to register with most people.

I wonder if the parents choose to take them, will Trump revoke the kids' citizenship? He's trying to take it away now, right?

But if these kids want to return as adults, they may have problems proving they are American citizens. People are just being snatched and put in jail. No time to pack, get the documents they need etc. If they are not able to gather their child's birth certificate before they are deported or they lose it after they are deported, might be hard to prove they are citizens if they want to return.

You are right, very little reporting is being done on this subject matter. I was just thinking about disabled adult children as well. One of my clients has has an adult son with severe cerebral palsy. He is wheelchair bound and nonverbal. Who would care for an adult in his position?
The cruelty is just unfathomable.

”Humanity” is capable of putting whole families in gas chambers or group burials. Sophies Choice, Schindlers List, Life is Beautiful, The Pianist. Or we paid attention in middle school reading Anne Frank or our history books.

The only thing unfathomable here is how 70 million or so people voted to bring this s*** to America.

That the cruelty is the point.

Then when you think about the actual, massive human suffering, it's just too much...

That it is being done to people who've already endured so much just to get here -which again is usually not recognized - then when you think of all the other suffering in the world in wars and famines...the climate...

What a way to start the day. And I haven't even seen the news yet!
