Then when they leave the protests could continue.
And stop as soon as Trump sent all the soldiers back.

1. I was just wondering what it would take

to build a nice 3 story high wall around the federal detention center and associated small area... leaving the soldiers and national guard inside and the protesters outside ( with vehement instructions to just go home now ).

Put in a "man trap" exit ( one soldier at a time please ) so that they are sent straight back to their base / national guard camp...

They get all the supplies they need while we wait for them to leave. No arrest, no violence... just a siege. None of their heavy weapons of course.

I know, it won't happen... but I can dream.
