Federal authorities arrested a man in East Los Angeles on Thursday who allegedly handed out face shields during an immigration protest. His arrest sparked a backlash from local residents.

FBI agents took Alejandro Theodoro Orellana into custody for allegedly “distributing face shields to suspected rioters” on Tuesday, U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli posted on X, along with broadcast video of a man handing out gear to protesters from the back of a pickup truck.

“We are moving quickly to identify and arrest those involved in organizing and/or supporting civil disorder in Los Angeles,” Essayli stated in the post.

Face shields? So protecting yourself against projectiles is now illegal?

Seeing footage of them grabbing press, so this doesn't surprise me at all. Basically it's a free for all... if you go out to protest, you are fair game...they WANT us to know that.

2. The same excuse was given at Kent State. "Suspected rioters" became human targets for the National Guard.

3. Unfortunately I'm waiting for that moment that one of these ICE nuts and those helping them will go nuts and

start shooting away, injuring or killing some people.

Of course, none of us want this to happen, but in that rarified atmosphere where the toxic fumes of excess power gets into people's heads, you never know.

Just be alert and cautious. I think we're all aware of this motto, but it doesn't hurt to repeat it.
