Did anyone else read/hear this ridiculous proclamation?!?
"Yes, according to multiple news sources, President Trump stated that protesters would not be allowed to wear masks. He made these comments in the context of protests in Los Angeles and the upcoming "No Kings" protests nationwide. Specifically, he said on Truth Social that masks will not be allowed at protests and questioned why protesters would need to hide their faces. The "No Kings" protests are scheduled to coincide with a military parade in Washington, D.C. on June 14, which is also President Trump's 79th birthday. Organizers of the "No Kings" protests state that the demonstrations are a response to what they describe as "authoritarian overreach" and the politicization of military celebrations. The ACLU has stated that Trump's threat to arrest people for wearing masks at protests is unconstitutional. There are ongoing debates about mask-wearing at protests, with some arguing it is a legitimate form of surveillance self-defense and others raising concerns about its potential to facilitate crime."

(6,242 posts)Some have the capability to track you to the cash register and link your image to your bank card data.
Many have also been able to link that to your personal information and social media accounts.
Seems a strong argument to carry cash.
It's only a matter of time until tech broligarchs us Palantir to capture images on public streets.

(55,535 posts)He's so stupid he'd probably take it as a real "Happy Birthday" sentiment. He isn't "the sharpest bulb" after all.
"President Donald Trump hurled another insult at Joe Biden during an address at Fort Bragg Tuesday, declaring that his predecessor was never the sharpest bulb. Ive known this guy for a long time. He was never the sharpest bulb, Trump, 78, said of Biden, seemingly confusing the idioms not the sharpest tool in the shed and not the brightest bulb to indicate that someone is lacking intelligence."

(114,716 posts)Most states have not. Colorado is one state that HAS NOT. (albeit our remaining MAGA Republicans tried to pass such a bill but failed). Wear your masks if you choose. Even in states that prohibit under certain circumstances, there has to be an exception for HEALTH.
