Biden told them, and we all hoped this wouldn't happen. But now the military and police are against the population and the constitution. They listen to their superiors, who are breaking the law, and judges are keeping the lanes clear.

Remember the 2000s? The 1970s? The 1940s? The 1910s?... (need I keep subtracting generations?)

The performance of the Army troops while marching (sic) yesterday was close to malicious compliance imo. The ranks that were walking were almost deliberately out of step, the tank folks were hilariously waving to the crowds - on one tank a female soldier was casually draped across the top like she was sunbathing.
After the disaster at Fort Bragg I was pleasantly surprised to see the attitude yesterday. If nothing else, it looked like the Army wasted less than an hour practicing for this

(7,026 posts)The troops were certainly not marching as sharply as I would have expected. I wondered about the malicious compliance aspect.

(21,029 posts)Deliberately out of step, I mean. I watched a few clips of marchers and they didn't look like a precision marching troupe - barely in a line; soldiers wearing different footwear etc.
