Trump 'Reamed Out' Hegseth for Flop Birthday Parade: Author

Biographer Michael Wolff told The Daily Beast Podcast that Trump wanted a “menacing” show of force to celebrate the Army’s 250th anniversary and his 79th birthday on Saturday—but got a “festive” parade instead.

“He’s p---ed off at the soldiers,” Wolff said. “He’s accusing them of hamming it up, and by that, he seems to mean that they were having a good time, that they were waving, that they were enjoying themselves and showing a convivial face rather than a military face.”

As thousands of soldiers flanked by tanks made their way past empty bleachers along Constitution Avenue in Washington, D.C., social media users pointed out that the soldiers were marching out of sync, and the muted atmosphere appeared to match the gloomy weather.

And what great TV that would make! Imagine parents dragged away from their kids and spirited away in broad daylight by masked men in military Ranger uniforms and . . . . Oops, I forget, Miller and Noem have been doing that for weeks now. My bad.

Well, then, just call me a damned proud American but I am . . . never mind the why, just make sure Miller knows how proud I am to be an American. Very proud. Really, really, bigly proud! Heart bursting with pride! proud. Me! Proud!

Now really, what on earth is this person thinking? She actually thinks trump has a coherent policy that will benefit people other than himself. You and I know that's not the case--never has been, never will be.

Yet this person does not hate America.

I think of several others and I would never say they hate us.

the shit really hits the fan, it may very well come down to the military to save us from Maga fascism and maintain our democracy. The lackluster display by the army on Sunday suggests they are still loyal to the constitution and not DJT. Should things get really bad, it now appears they will come down on the side of consitutional democracy and the rule of law.

He was was terrified. He heard all propaganda about American monsters who eat children. He knew how intensely dedicated Japanese soldiers were and these people defeated them! They would be even more intense.

When they arrived, he was shocked to see them relaxing on jeeps, smiling, laughing and throwing out candy for the kids.

Maybe that’s who the American army really are. The aren’t the severely trained, scary machines the the dictators want. They are the guys who throw out candy for the kids.
