29. When I see Hendersonville, NC it always gets my attention. I loved the

"Mother Earth News" which was based there in the 70s. It focused on DIY, and the ecology movement that lost steam in the 80s (along with most things environmental...sadly). It is really sad to see how that area seems now to be a bed of right-wingers as is most of the rural US.

It seems that nothing is more important now than wealth or the pursuit of wealth. Not only do we destroy most everything we touch these days but seem to relish in constant grow as we degrade our quality of life.
