In the 1930s/1940s in Germany.
I am sure that a lot of people that were picked up and sent to Camps were law abiding citizens, who just happened to be of the wrong religion. And of course the number of people being interned increased as the definition of socially unacceptable was redefined.
Im thinking about that period and at what point were the decisions made to transfer from internment camps to death camps. After the war, a lot of the Germans said that they knew nothing about the death camps while acknowledging the internment camps. Of course some of those same German people knew to close their windows when the smell from the death camps blew in their direction.
The German administration probably didnt advertise that they were killing mass numbers of people, but the soldiers, police and other perpetrators of the holocaust talked. So, if not Sunday dinner conversation I am sure it was whispered about.
With Trump, his Administration, the GOP Congress, his enablers combined with his MAGA support - I wonder at what point will they decide the cost of interment and deportation is more expensive than extermination? For those that say it wouldnt happen here - I say look to your MAGA friends, family and co-workers and then say it wouldnt happen here.
I wonder at what point would people be advised to either leave or prepare to fight?
I wondering, thinking that history does repeat and how this MAGA experience will play out for all of us.
