I agree with you about forming a coalition with anti-war Democrats, but it's not enough to impeach and convict. We need some Republicans. Besides, they like Vance better anyway. They just might do it this time.

All will follow behind Trump like they usually do, except for maybe the Pauls, who care more about being contrarian than they do being anti-war.

Too bad the dumbasses """on the left""" that are so quick to form a bond with MAGA don't give the same benefit of the doubt to Democrats, which would not be bombing Iran right now if one were president.

Vance not being a fucking moron alone makes him more qualified than Mango Mussolini to be in a position of power. Also, he is not the cult leader and he's not charismatic. MAGA will scrutinize what he does in a way they won't with Orange Jesus. Plus I also just don't think anyone is the same level of stupid + evil as IQ45. There's dumber, and there's more evil, but not quite to Clowny McDollhands level, at the same time. I also think Vance probably at least thinks about the world he could play a part in leaving for his children. Trump's brain literally doesn't have the capacity to work that way. I guarantee you he does not understand or know 'love', other than love of money, power, and most of all, self.

Not saying Vance would be great, I'm saying he'd less terrible, and terrifying.

Led by Curtis Yarvin, they believe democracy is “over” and that what is needed is a technical autocracy led by one person. And Thiel, et Al, have the money to invest in this. They got J.D. Vance in the Senate and then the Vice Presidency. They have further plans for their puppet.
They have a strategic plan and are implementing it. Don’t underestimate them (Thiel, Musk, Yarvin, et al)

6. (2019) Bernie Sanders Retracts Endorsement of Young Turks Founder Cenk Uygur After Backlash
Sun Jun 22, 2025, 03:07 AM
Jun 2025

Uygur’s sexist and racist commentary has included a segment from his Young Turks show in 2013 in which he ranked women on a scale of 1-10 on “how likely men would be to let them perform oral sex on them,” per the L.A. Times. That same year, Uygur called a model “obviously anorexic” on the show and said she looked “like she’d just come out of a [concentration] camp.” In 2015, Uygur hosted ex-Ku Klux Klan leader and neo-Nazi David Duke on the Young Turks in an anti-Semitic segment about “how Jews control everything.” Video also has surfaced of Uygur using the n-word repeatedly on TYT in 2007. Last year, Uygur’s TYT Network was sued by an ex-employee alleging racial discrimination; Uygur has called the complaint “baseless.”

As long as a Democrat doesn't suggest it.

Cenk is like Steve Bannon and Justice Democrats and others holding the ridiculous belief there'll be a left-wing and right-wing populist alliance. He hates those yucky corrupt Democrats, one of those dummies who thinks Democrats ignore economic inequality, have no economic policies, ignore the working class ... you know the Both Sides Democrat Bashing script.

"Social issues are really important and worth fighting for. But maybe the left-wing and right-wing should consider uniting on economic issues against corporate rule. We agree a lot more than people realize on these issues."

Now it's anti-war the left-wing and right-wing have in common! Those Republicans are so dreamy!

Sun Jun 22, 2025, 06:03 AM

Curtis Yarvin who doesn’t want to fix democracy — he wants to kill it, drag the corpse out back, and set it on fire. In its place, he envisions a cold, ruthless world where billionaires sit on thrones, governments operate like customer service hotlines, and power belongs exclusively to those with the deepest pockets. It’s not a conspiracy theory — it’s a blueprint, and many of Silicon Valley’s richest men seem more than willing to help turn this vision into a reality.
Welcome to the warped mind of Curtis Yarvin. FROM "MENCUS MOLDBUG" TO CREATING A NEW WORLD ORDER

Vance has become their creation. He is the junior high school "nerd" whose only hope of "breaking out" and gaining acceptance was to align himself with the bullies--whomever they might be. He thought he could become them by going to war with the military (though he had a clerical role and was protected throughout from combat), and he was smart enough to attend Harvard and to leverage his childhood into a lauded book/movie. He's not a dumb man by any means, but insecure as hell, and that makes him easily manipulated AND DANGEROUS.

I think the problem is that not enough has been written about J.D. Vance and his connections to the tech bros who want to turn this country into a right-wing tech dictator. Vance at the least is a protege of both Peter Thiel and Curtis Yarvin, both of whom want this country to be run by a right-wing dictator. In addition, Vance is likely more competent than Donald Trump, so he might be able to get more passed and cause more problems.

Hopefully, not nuclear annihilation.
But, short of that, to end Trumpism (not just Trump) real pain must be felt by those who still support Trump and authoritarianism.

And we must keep in mind that many EVANGELICALS (Pence, for example) want to bring about Armageddon and “Christs return”. So, they want full fledged war in the Middle East.

Partnering with monsters dilutes our message and our values, we must stand for what we feel is right.
Just as our external enemies are trying to destroy us, so are the internal enemies. These monsters are the reason trump is president and because they just figured out he is a liar does not make them allies or people worthy of our support.
