Am I missing something?

Dog out the world. Betray your partners. Making statements that include, “They are kissing my ass.” Sending armed, masked men to run down and arrest immigrants and citizens (No one knows for sure they are official). Then, you bomb a country without explanation. What positive can this produce?

Not only is the man completely insane, he's also an evil, cruel, destructive, venal, small-minded motherfucker. Sane people continue trying to make sense of it all, but Trump's chaos defies explanation.
