than the ones you cite here---- especially if that person is an ELECTED Republican politician, IMHO...

Those politicians steal from the taxpayers, at every level of government---
and the amount of money represented is much greater
than that represented by someone who steals some baby formula from Walmart...

I am not defending or advocating for petty crimes here,
but the farther we get down this rat-hole,
the closer I get to doing so

When the law is not enforced against criminal, fascist rapist politicians,
but with rigor against a man who steals a bag of dehydrated potatoes to feed his family,
I have much less sympathy for "being tough on crime", particularly "non-violent crime".

I am reminded of the saying,
"In its majestic equality, the law forbids rich and poor alike to sleep under bridges, beg in the streets and steal loaves of bread."

The Dem establishment better wake up fast - the younger generation is right on their heels and they demand change. If they want to stay in office, the old guard had better make some big changes quick.. But they won't, and I'm good with that. Cuomo needs to go - his time has passed.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?

This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.

As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.

Tell me more...
