Before they charge extra? When I used to unload containers there was always a set time period before they charged for detention.

Smooth seas!

Congrats on escaping the United States of Extortion!

When do you expect to be all settled in your new home?

Happy trails!

Specifically St. Thomas. I fell in love with the place this past winter when we were there. This could be us in a couple of years---if I can persuade my husband.

Glad for you to take a stand and make a choice. Hope all goes well for you!

Never know, I might make the leap myself soon. Hope you don't get harassed when trying to leave.

And hang on to your documents and wallet!!

A fresh start in a new country requires several changes of clothes, and a shower kits bag.

This is waaay too much junk to take to Central America.

Learn to pack lighter .

We moved 17 times before my 18th birthday. No more moving for me. I plan to die on the farm.

I hope you have a smooth and worry free experience, sinkingfeeling.

It is extremely hard for me to stay in one place for more than 5 or 6 years. I've got like a dysfunctional clock inside me lol. These last 10 years are the longest I've lived in one town my entire life! And I'm getting really antsy

I worked for thirty years traveling three states and DC in health care so I get you. I'm just tired and old. I retired and I inherited a farm so I'm here for the duration.

Learn to roll with the differences. When we went to Germany we took essentially nothing but jumped in only 3 months.10 years ago.

Could have added my car! It's on I55, heading to Chicago train yard.
I took my entire household, including all my art, quilting, and scrapbooking supplies. About 60% of my stuff is for arts and crafts.

Are they handling the entire move including delivery in Costa Rica?

I'm moving overseas this fall. Trying to get a quote from one highly rated overseas co. but they are apparently flummoxed by some hobby farm equipment.
