Its time to start calling trump a communist

the fascists liek to throw out teh term communist or socialist or other names to denigrate dems over anything they can.

in june 12th trump signed off on teh merger of US steel with nippon steel of japan. one condition of the merger was giving the US a so called "golden share"
the power of the share will be held solely by trump during his term and then pass to the treasure and commerce dept after his term.
the golden share grants trump the following powers

Changing U.S. Steel’s name, moving its headquarters from Pittsburgh, and relocating the company outside the U.S.
Closing, idling, selling production locations through 2035, and U.S. Steel’s Granite City Works through 2027.
Cutting the base salary of employees through 2030.
Reducing, waiving or a delaying the timeline set out for $10.8 billion in capital investment.
Acquiring any business in the U.S. that competes with U.S. Steel or its suppliers.

government control of a private business??? smells like Communism to me. and the dems should exploit it . take out ads calling him a commie. call his supporters communist sympathizers.

lets face it there aer a lot of morons in this country. and the facists keep spewing their lies which if you tell them enough poeple start to belive

so a campaign to paint trump and his morons as commies if repeated enough will get his cult to at least think about it

And I admire actions taken with intellectual honesty with predictable benefit to politically dismantle him.

But if I had a nickel for every DU poster who thinks their pet meme, clapback or groupthink insult makes Trump “meltdown in any manner that will embarrass him into being less cruel, less stupid or less dangerous, I’d be richer than he claims to be.

Oh, welcome to DU

The “golden share” is not Trump’s personal property, it is under control of whoever is president.

The whole deal stinks.

make sure that they produced what he wanted to be produced, from the appropriate raw material sources, sold to the people that he thought needed it for the price the state set.

Of course, he could delegate the authority, to be sure.

I don't like it for all sorts of reasons, but if Stalin limited himself to what Trump did it would still be fairly free market.

I look forward to when the next president--(D), of course--goes through the process of returning control to the corporation and foreswearing that kind of control in the first 6 months of the new 4-year period. (Actually, I'm not holding my breath. More likely it'll be gifted to the steelworkers union. Either way, it's a government taking.)

That is fascism/corporatism, according to an old, and very dead, fascist.

"Fascism should more properly be called corporatism because it is the merger of state and corporate power.” — Benito Mussolini
