Sounds like they are going to drop some bombs on the nation tomorrow, including birthright citizenship, LGBTQ storybooks in schools, and a Louisiana Voting Rights Act case. My hopes aren't high.

I also think they are going after Obergefell before long. We know Alito and Thomas want to dismantle it.

(3,581 posts)That birthright citizenship is even an issue is insanity.
And this activist Court is just getting started.
In addition to Obergefell, look for conservatives to go after Establishment Clause jurisprudence conjoining church and state, prayer in public schools, and the religious rights myth, jeopardizing public accommodations laws.

(5,252 posts)is the members who were appointed by Democratic presidents....
unfortunately now in a 6-3 minority...
And yeah, I am afraid of their upcoming "decisions"....
Well, that same institution once made the decision
that slaves were not people, and African-Americans were not citizens,
and thus had no standing to sue for their rights--
(Dred Scot decision)
On the bright side, that horrible decision was completely annulled
by the history that followed thereafter....
Freedom, Liberty and Morality sometimes suffers setbacks in our country,
but we have always eventually moved forward from those setbacks...
I believe that we will do so yet again!
