It means courts can’t issue nationwide ruling on the question of birthright citizenship, only ruling for their jurisdictions, which covers everyone in the jurisdiction, not just plaintiffs.

I haven’t seen much coverage about any specific individuals who Trump/ICE have sought to revoke the citizenship of. I know they have deported people who are citizens, but I haven’t seen any cases where ICE specifically invokes Trump’s EO in court.

Does it say “ICE must leave John Smith alone” (plaintiff only)?

Or does it say “ICE must cease the harassment, detention and deportation of American citizens” (entire district/jurisdiction)?

Class actions are a way around this ruling

That was quick

There are already TWO new class action lawsuits challenging Trump birthright citizenship order

Suits designed to adjust to today's Supreme Court ruling

Including one by ACLU, which says "This executive order directly opposes our Constitution, values & history"
