Hawley folds. Anyone surprised?

According to Chris Hayes on bluesky, Hawley is now a yes on the big ugly bill. Hawley is then quoted as saying: "This has been an unhappy episode here in Congress, this effort to cut Medicaid...Frankly, my party need to do some soul searching, if you want to be a working-class party, you've got to deliver for working-class people. You cannot take health care from working people."

So....he's going to vote for it anyway? I knew he was pathetic but this level of gutlessness MIGHT even penetrate some maga brains.

These mfers are not listening to their constituents. They’re only interested in staying in power. Do not underestimate the power of incumbency. We need term limits now more than ever before.

At least that's how MSNBC is making sure to report it. So many very unhappy with the bill but will vote for it because the Felon wants it on his desk by the 4th so he can sign it.

You know what I do when I haven't read everything on a contract? I don't sign.

If a car salesman doesn't hate me by the time I've purchased a vehicle, then I haven't negotiated diligently. Wearing you down with massive paperwork, time constraints and rhetoric is a strategy. Adding options on after you've agreed on a price knowing you've already been there for 3 hours and unlikely or unable to remove the options is also a tactic. Take it or leave it. Leave it.
