I was there for it. The first few questions went smoothly but then she was asked who the president was. Now, mom could never say Bush's name without preceding it with the words "that ass" but she wasn't going to be so unladylike in front of the social worker.

So there was a pause. I could hear her wheels turning & I could see some concern on the social worker's face. Finally Mom said, "Gore was elected but Bush is living in the White House."

To which the social worker said "Your surgeon didn't think you needed this exam and I can see she was right" And the SW left.
