Did the people of Germany know what was happening to the Jews during WW2? How do we know what is happening in that El Salvador prison, or future hellholes in other nations? Do we know the limits of Trump and his circle of psychopaths? Do you?

(2,092 posts)No we don't have a good idea of what's happening in foreign prisons. Which is a big part of why I am against sending people to those prisons. But that said after dragging their feet, Kilmar Abrego Garcia was returned. And the same for others who have successfully fought their case.
The other big difference is that the nazis cared what happened to those in the concentration camps (obviously not in a good way, but they had a plan and were set on it), whereas Trump seems to stop caring once someone is deported. I don't think he has the organizational skills or ideological demand of doing something like concentration camps. Oh and the lot of the Trump administration isn't smart enough to do something like that. Not exactly the best thing to have to rely on, but sometimes you have to make do

(12,079 posts)hatred, but it wasn't publicized that Jews were being gassed to death. My point is another Holocaust could happen, and we would not know. Yes, it is a concentration camp, make no mistake.

(44,738 posts)Gassing to death people then burning their bodies is no big deal. Its just a cost of doing business. Hiding the evidence. Conservatives are touchy about the truth.

I think they're wholy capable of it and they'd lie to our faces about it, to boot.
