According to this, his parents divorced 10 years ago and dad isn’t exactly up for father of the year - they originally slapped a permanent restraining order covering mother and son after father threatened to either burn their house down or sit outside with a rifle. The father says he hadn’t seen Wess in a while.

Wess was working in the tree service industry and taking courses to become a woodland firefighter.

The only one who really knows what led Wess to do this is Wess, and he’s dead.

As to the MAGA hats, those are common enough up here that people wear them as a fashion statement.
