(1,977 posts)to support the bill because billionaires are suffering. Over the last say 5 years the average billionaire has only increased their income by 20% a year (or whatever it is) and they cant make ends meet.
To help them we need to cut your income, raise prices, take away your healthcare and eliminate the safety net for you and your family so they can earn more.
Besides if you were smarter youd make your little 2% cost of living raise at your job go further. You are stealing from Bezos and Musk so you have to sacrifice for our country. Youll get over it!!
Are there no prisons? Are there no workhouses?

(1,580 posts)a communication strategy with coordination and discipline is needed. I was thinking of these:
The Big Betrayal Bill
The Billionaire Bill
The Billionaire Smash and Grab Bill
The Looting the American Dream Bill
The Transfer of Wealth bill
The Big Lie Bill
I like The Billionaire Bill for its simplicity, but the point is, pick something and use it constantly when referring to this bill, from now until the midterms. Repetition works. Both from the politicians and figure out how to get it throughout the various media.
When a hospital closes, tell people "That's because of the Billionaire Bill. Republicans did that." When any of the negative consequences of this bill become apparent, tell people "That's because of the Billionaire Bill. Republicans did that."
Burn that phrase into people's consciousness. Then when the midterms come around, every candidate should use that term, The Billionaire Bill, and it will immediately resonate.

This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
