(750 posts)Let's amend that to former law-abiding gun owners. They've crossed a fine line and are now criminal gun owners because they're likely complicit.

(25,889 posts)Just like the double murder of Rep. Melissa Hortman and her husband and dog. And the shooting of Sen. Hoffman and his wife.
Political violence is no big deal if the murderers are maga.

(53,452 posts)Look at her right hand where it touches his face...and why are they straight when the White House is sloping off at a 20-degree angle?
Also inspect the bottom of the fence. On the real White House front fence the square-section uprights are welded at the bottom to another piece of square section tubing. It's missing in this photo.

(38,873 posts)The keystoning is the same angle for both the fence and the White House. It's much harder to judge buildings against people, since people can stand at an angle, can lean in or out, etc. But the two things in the photo which have straight edges appear as they would with keystone distortion caused by the camera image plane not being parallel to the scene being photographed.
From the side of the building this is taken from, there is no cross bar at the bottom of the fence - there is a cement curb, but no cross bar. The curb is below the image.
As another poster noted, she has her hand on the fence, not his face.
I can't vouch for the validity of the photo, or the identity of the people in it, but - as one who uses photoshop regularly, and who just spent a semester working with a large format camera to both capture and correct keystoning - the angles you are mentioning are more consistent with someone who doesn't know what they were doing with a camera, than someone using Photoshop.

(6,940 posts)the image will warp slightly as it reaches the end of the frame. Definitely not photoshopped. Not sure what the other poster is talking about.
Ms. Toad
(38,873 posts)The cell phone (image plane of the sensor) wasn't parallel to the fence and white house. It's holding the phone at an angle that causes the particular distortion in the image. It's more obvious when things in the scene have strong vertical or horizontal lines.
druidity33
(6,940 posts)Selfies are not taken from a tripod. They are not architectural photographs where the "film" plane is adjusted for accurate perspective. Some cellphones take better photos than my fancy DSLR... with less distortion at the edges. But they are almost NEVER positioned at an angle that accurately portrays perspective... because they are attached to an ARM. And at that angle, those tiny lenses will for sure warp the edge of your frame.

(55,660 posts)about Idaho were interesting. I didn't realize that the state's residents are similar to Floridians. A lot of people who are familiar with the area said this is not a surprise to them. They say it is a MAGAT breeding ground. That is one state I will never, ever visit.
