He does occasionally sell shares, but even that is taxable at the discounted capital gains rate. And his corporations pay little or no tax because accounting rules provide all sorts of loopholes. Last year, Tesla reported a profit of $2.3 billion and didn't pay a penny of tax.

But if Musk wants to target half the Republicans and Trump wants to target the other half, that's OK with me.
