Trump calls for deporting natural-born US citizens

Trump calls for deporting US citizens: "We also have a lot of bad people that have been here for a long time ... many of them were born in our country. I think we ought to get them the hell out of here too, if you want to know the truth. So maybe that'll be the next job."

I was told this would never happen. I was just being hysterical for suggesting it.

Pedo Trump can't even speak coherently and use the proper words. Yet all the media just goes on and repeats his mangled, incoherent, childish language.

Forcing a citizen to leave the country they were born in is called exile or banishment. NOT DEPORTATION. Stupid people don't even know the English Language.

It was usually done to criminals back in ancient times. So, another long dead form of punishment being dusted off to use against American citizens by Nazi loving Trump humpers.

What next? Crucification, the rack, the wheel, thumbscrews, the ironmaiden?

Not quite there yet, but almost. They're about to fuck over skilled workers in order to solve the refugee crisis. Oh and that's the Labour government doing it, not the Tories and not the Neo-fascist Reform party.
It's no fun at all being an immigrant here, nor is it cheap.
But I wouldn't move back to the US if you paid me, I'll just keep draining my savings to afford my appalling salary until I have permanent residency and then I'll give up my US citizenship.

I've been saying this for months, ICE and every method ICE is using right now under the guise of policing immigration will become standard for policing anyone Trump views as an enemy. This was always the plan, ICE is now the most powerful force in our country and they are going to treat dissidents the same way we've seen them treat immigrants. And the SCOTUS will do nothing to stop it, not will Congress.

God forbid they get ahold of DU's servers and start showing up to our houses asking questions about our posts here. They can disappear anyone.

If you don't agree with Trump, he now has the right to eject you from the country and throw you into a prison camp in a place like Libya or Rwanda. All your property can be seized and you will not face atrial or even charges and you can spend the rest of your life in a foreign prison. America voted for a dictator, and that's what America is getting.

And for the most part, the vast majority of the country has been fine with what is happening to immigrants. Maybe some of it seems heavy handed to some Americans, but they probably think it's just a few bad cases here and there.

So when they see their friends and neighbors being rounded up, they'll just shrug and go, "Well, they must have committed some crime."

And political affiliation may be included, since no due process will be involved.
Right now Stephen Miller and other Republicans are making tons of money from stock of the companies involved in the deportation process, including running the jail expansions.

At the same time, trump is renting expensive hotel and other living quarters to rich non-Americans to give birth in this country.

The bill will also cut Medicaid/Medicare funding from hospitals and Drs. which esp. rural areas heavily depend on, and those services are being bought up by private businesses.

They make Nixon look like a piker.

Tue Jul 1, 2025, 01:02 PM

The idea was that they are not real citizens like white people and they should all now be sent back to Africa.

Given the ignorance of history exhibited by most Republicans, including Trump, the assumption is that Hispanic people do not belong here either. They seem to be totally ignorant of the fact that until 1848 Mexico owned much of the Southwest, consisting of the present-day states of California, Nevada, Utah, most of Arizona, the western half of New Mexico, the western quarter of Colorado, and the southwest corner of Wyoming. Obviously, the people living there were Hispanic and they were granted citizenship by the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, 1848. Texas was in dispute but also had many Mexicans living there when it became a state and gained US citizenship.

We are a nation of many ethnicities. I wish we could finally learn to live together without all the right-wing hate.

They believe, without exception that any person of Color in the United States who is not Native American was “brought here” and therefore isn’t really American and so should be “sent back.” If they are a Brown person in Colorado who is fluent only in Spanish it’s taken as proof that they are not citizens and most likely came here illegally. Never mind they could easily be from a family who has lived there on the same land for a dozen generations or more.

But the bottom line here is this - they don’t really give a shit about the map and who crossed what border or what border crossed them.

It’s about protecting the status and the power of the ®Real American. Must be, White, heterosexual, ®Christian able-bodied and male, all others need not apply.

43. Trump's DOJ issues memo on plan to strip citizenship from some naturalized Americans

The recent memo encourages the Justice Department’s Civil Division to prioritize efforts to strip some Americans of their citizenship.

As the White House press secretary openly floats the idea of investigating New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani to possibly strip him of his citizenship, after a bigoted proposal from Rep. Andy Ogles, R-Tenn., the administration appears to be revving up its denaturalization plans.

NPR reported Monday on a Justice Department memo from June 11, which advises prosecutors in the DOJ’s Civil Division to prioritize the denaturalization of various naturalized citizens over alleged infractions ranging from war crimes to “material misrepresentations” in their citizenship applications.

In his first term, Trump expanded former President Barack Obama’s denaturalization policies. An expert told NPR why the new memo’s call to use civil litigation for this effort is particularly disturbing:

The DOJ memo says that the federal government will pursue denaturalization cases via civil litigation — an especially concerning move, said Cassandra Robertson, a law professor at Case Western Reserve University. In civil proceedings, any individual subject to denaturalization is not entitled to an attorney, Robertson said; there is also a lower burden of proof for the government to reach, and it is far easier and faster to reach a conclusion in these cases. Robertson says that stripping Americans of citizenship through civil litigation violates due process and infringes on the rights guaranteed by the 14th Amendment.

On the heels of Friday’s Supreme Court ruling in the birthright citizenship case — which undercut lower courts’ ability to stop the executive branch from pursuing policies of disputed legality — it’s safe to wonder whether and how the administration might wield its powers to target more Americans.

The DOJ memo asserts a broad latitude for interpretation as to what conduct might warrant denaturalization proceedings against a citizen. It lays out a list of transgressions, including torture and human trafficking, but also calls on the DOJ’s Civil Division to target “an individual that either ‘illegally procured’ naturalization or procured naturalization by ‘concealment of a material fact or by willful misrepresentation’” and, rather vaguely, “individuals who pose a potential danger to national security.” The memo also prioritizes the ominously open-ended “any other cases ... that the Division determines to be sufficiently important to pursue.”

When he first issued the executive order to deport college students on student visas, I said he was going to go after permanent residents next and try to denaturalize naturalized citizens. Can't find that thread but that was my stance on that thread, others said no, he couldn't do anything to permanent residents or naturalized citizens. That was right after the inauguration, here we are 6 months later. He is deporting permanent residents, going after naturalized citizens, don't think for one second he wont send American born citizens to some gulag in foreign country if he can get away with it.
I don't have a lot of faith in the court anymore that he won't be able to do it.

First they yank it from anyone they like who had no American parents at the time they were born in the US.
Next comes only 1 parent was a US citizen ... but only the ones they don't like.
Eventually they revoke citizenship for "criminals" - the crime being badmouthing MAGA or supporting the opposition.
And let us not forget naturalized citizens.

They've clearly said for a decade or more that they don't believe non-citizens have ANY human rights within the US, let alone Constitutional rights. Once they start revoking citizenship then they can do anything they want to you.

Yes it sounds hysterical. But judging by what they've been saying since 2007 and Trump's most recent bloviations about kidnapping citizens he doesn't like, seems like we are there.

I'd be on the first boat out of here to Ireland... the homeland of my ancestors. I sure as hell don't want to be here anymore. I'm nearly 70 years old. I'm a veteran, having served during VietNam. I've been a public servant (civil service) since getting out of the Air Force a millenia ago. I'm now retired. I never made enough money to save up a billion dollars for retirement. Everything was paycheck to paycheck, but we had a decent life because we had family and love... even if we were short on "stuff." I don't understand these multi-zillionaire capitalists... not their desires... not their needs... and certainly not their personalities. At this point, I really don't care to understand them, either. To me, they're worse than the worst meth heads in their addiction. And that is all it is... an addiction. They got hooked via the game of Risk in the 70's and they've been playing it with OUR money ever since. Stuff 'em!

I wish EVERYONE in this country who is not maga could leave on their own accord. Leave the freaking hellhole to the magas and trump and let them either bomb it into oblivion or allow each of them to die in the gutters because everyone in the blue states (and those of us in hostile Red states who aren't Red), decided to vote with our feet and what's left of our wallets. Let him get his adoration 24/7 from the idiots who threw it all away.

The only thing I can do at my age is attend the marches and rallies, and it really makes me angry. Because I don't think those are doing a damn thing for us. In fact, whatever we protest, he just doubles down on. He is the Devil Incarnate, and I refuse to bow down to the Devil. I will not be a patsy for Evil. But I would like to get the hell out of here and into a free country where people actually matter.

I don't want to die in this hellhole, surrounded by frightened people and those with Purge fantasies and guns. And yet, when I can remember my dreams, I'm dreaming of dying. And lately, it's become too much of a release for my comfort.

I'm reaching my end point, and they're not near done. What the frack next?

It is possible to denaturalize a naturalized citizen, but IIRC it requires being able that they lied in their naturalization process about something which, if the truth had been told, would have prevented their naturalization. Like a Nazi from WWII swearing he was never a member of the Nazi party. And even then - there was one I read about who did exactly that and it was proven, but he could not be deported because no other nation would have him.

A citizen of this country who commits crimes here should not be deported but should be serving an appropriate sentence in a prison here. That is true whether a born citizen or a naturalized one.

If you're not paranoid, you're not paying attention.

I thought hard about moving to another country when this mess started, but its really not feasible for us. At some ironic point, other countries will stop accepting overwhelming numbers of American refugees. Besides, it really doesn't sit well with me to be run out of my own country.

So, what do we do? Yes, we vote the bastards out--if we're allowed to vote. The protests are good, but they're not enough. trump's behavior just keeps getting worse, and he seems pretty intent on dumping the Constitution. I see the ICE capades becoming more dangerous for everybody. Remember the Home Guard during the Civil War? Congress and the Judiciary are quickly becoming inconsequential.

One way or another, this can't continue. Hard to believe one small-minded little man could bring down this country. We need new tactics. We cannot lose this fight.
