The populace of this country is, by definition, insane:
If insanity is recognized by doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result, then we are there. Since Richard Nixon was president, and he was a GOOD GUY and BRILLIANT compared to these ignorant sociopaths beginning with Reagan and extending through this alien mass of orangy flesh, we have voted for repression, deletion of the American Dream for the masses, now only available to a relatively few societal lottery winners, and the dumbing down of the entire nation in a horrifyingly repulsive manner.
We are a nation of handicapped individuals with only one functioning arm: the other arm, the vestigial arm is used to hold what we amusingly call “The Phone” which is a “Phone” in the same sense that your car is a “turn-signal carrier”. Virtually the entire nation is walking around being fed propaganda, sensationalist gossip and stories, pornography, and is a vehicle for compulsive, self-destructive sports betting and online gambling.
Our schools are in shambles in almost every sense, and will be further defunded until we have home-based learning via iPhone and Android.
Our “Intelligence Community” has utterly failed us: allowing an individual to be President who is susceptible to blackmail by our sworn international enemies and the receipt of “presents” from nations which flew jets into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon while we defend the right of them to profit in the trillions what with their seemingly inexhaustible petroleum reserves. After all those sanctimonious Tom Clancy novels, read by millions of right-wingers, the Russians are running the show according to their timeline and playbook. What irony.
And speaking of blackmail and cowardice: Congress. Need I say more?

This summer, perhaps you’ll attend a carnival with or perhaps without your children, and you as a nation will spend countless dollars trying to beat the Carnies at their games. The games, in case you were unaware, are fixed and winning, although not impossible, is much more unlikely than your child, or perhaps even you, realize. That, is the New America. “Step right up, folks, you may be a winner!”
