You're right. There's a lot of meat here for
2026. Also, a lot that has been quite specific from these reps about just how terrible this bill is. Very educational.

(1,778 posts)my understanding. Agree about the meat, hope they and us can spread some now. Supposedly there is one no vote already from Norman in SC, think just two more are needed, then back to the Senate.

Think this was another McBride line, after saying Trump likes gold and 'this bill is a golden shower of benefit cuts.'

The House Rules Committee advanced a rule for the Senate-passed version of tax and spending cuts bill with a vote of 7-6. Two Republicans, Representatives Ralph Norman (R-SC) and Chip Roy (R-TX), voted with Democrats against advancing the rule.
