Yeah, Murkowski did some negotiating and got Alaska exempted from the Medicaid and Medicare cuts from the "big beautiful bill". And she did it in exchange for her affirmative vote.

But . . . .

She could have held out to exempt the other 49 states and U.S. territories for the same things. But she didn't.

I got mine. F*ck you!

BTW, I hope there's a litigant out there who will sue at least on the premise that Alaska's favorable status violates the Equal Protection Clause of the Fifth Amendment of the Constitution.

Ayn Rand's hatred of altruism, Musk's contempt for empathy, and the inchoate malice that underlies every Republican's decision-making process, to one degree or another, are illustrative of the fundamental premise of their political "philosophy", such as it is: Take from the disadvantaged, and lavish largesse on those who don't need, or deserve it, but who might reward you with bribes thinly disguised as, "campaign contributions".
Like every mental aberration, conservatism exists on a spectrum. Trump's words and deeds have redefined the depth of the Dark End of that spectrum, God fucking help us all.
