Will they stick with him or will they be persuaded to follow Trump on the budget bill?
Did the Senate make enough changes to bill to please Musk?
Some of the House MAGA members may be afraid that Musk will run a primary opponent against them? They are afraid of their voters?
But will it be enough to stop the blitzkrieg coming out of the Senate?
Will they get it passed by the target date of July 4th? Two more days.
It will be interesting to see what Musk has to say about it in the next two days?
How much influence does he carry with the MAGA movement?

(115,627 posts)Would he put money into the campaigns of Democratic opponents?
Musk isn't gonna give to Democrats because he wants to shrink government too. The reason he is upset is the bill is it's not cutting spending (I mean it is in certain areas, but it's also massively increasing the deficit).
And I seriously doubt Musk is gonna primary all 200+ Republicans up next year. He's mercurial - within a month he'll be on to something else.

(115,627 posts)But he would not have to primary all 200+. He could do like he did the last time - just bankroll a few in the battleground states.
Hopefully, the people will see fit to throw the Republicans out after all that has happened and put the Democrats in charge?
If they do not, what message should we take from the election?

(1,378 posts)It's battleground districts. Plenty of the districts that can tilt either way are in "safe" states. And I suppose if he bankrolled a person who wants to cut everything out of the budget, and they won the primary, it might help elect a Democrat in November. On the other hand, I'm sort of leery of that game being played because it also can (and does) backfire badly.

EV tax credits arent something republicans want to deliver on anyway.
That would just put them on the wrong side from their Furher.
