At The Hague for the concentration camps and snatching innocent people up off the streets for being brown and trying to have better lives. As more people die in these detention centers and these alligator Auschwitz camps the evilness will catch up to them.

I read this article in an Irish paper this is how other countries view us now.

The concentration camp sits atop a concrete airport pad, isolated in the swamplands of the Florida Everglades. Trump claimed the tents are air-conditioned, but the extreme heat and humidity of the Florida summer make humane conditions virtually impossible, particularly if generators fail or fuel supplies run out. If a hurricane were to strike the area, the tents would offer no meaningful protection. The result could be catastrophic, with an unknown number of potential deaths.

At a press conference held after touring the facility, Trump threatened to send US citizens to the camp. “But we also have a lot of bad people that have been here for a long time. … They are not new to our country, they are old to our country. Many of them were born in our country. I think we ought to get them the hell out of here too. You want to know the truth. So maybe that will be the next job we work on together.”

I am appalled everyday how awful, evil, reprehensible and disgusting this administration is!

2. Reality Check - History will weigh in too late for it to make any difference.

History takes a long time for reassessment to occur when it is not immediate. Trump will be dead within 10 years based on US life expectancies. The others will remain in power and/or ride off into a rich post-government life long before history chimes in on them. The time gap is so long that it has no impact on current behavior and even then, people don’t care.

We have no options for immediate action. There are far too many people on the right who are jubilant about this bill and they will never participate in a nationwide protest or general strike.

Our next best option is Dems reclaiming control of at least one house of Congress during the 2026 elections so we can start investigating things, provided the elections occur. I fully expect Trump will demand people not to testify and will issue pre-emptive pardons to those who defy Contempt of Congress charges.

After that come the elections in 2028. We will need a trifecta to accomplish anything and that depends on us not having people like Manchin throwing monkey wrenches into things. Barring that, we need a Dem president to stop things like the ICE spending much like Trump has done with other spending and then hope the courts side with us.

These are all low probability scenarios in the short term and not of these will matter in the long term when history weighs in because the damage will have already been done.

Write that history? Where will it be taught? Where will those books be available?
They do not give a damn. It’s cash now, for me attitude.
They will not be here to answer for it. I will not be here to say, “damnit, we tried to warn you”.

For a country so hell-bent on justice and law (lol!) we have a pathetic history of prosecuting folks of this status. They largely go about consequence free, and will certainly continue to do so.
