How do I stop from being a Debbie Downer today?

I love my country. And I've loved Independence Day in the past. I wouldn't call myself a negative person.

But this year is different.

Out and about and on other interest websites, so many "Happy 4th of July's!"

We got rid of one king to anoint another one nearly 250 later. Freedoms are being TAKEN away.

Blah. And it's supposed to rain all day today too.

2. Your feelings are normal, part of the grieving process most of us are going through.

We are losing something very important to us.
American democracy, rule of law, the moral high ground.

Some things to try:

1. Gratitude. Be thankful for a roof over our heads and food on the table.
2. Prayer or meditation, to ground and calm ourselves.
3. Service to others. It is in giving that we receive.

Who despised TACO Don and Republicans with a passion.

At least I have that fond memory of him saying to the TV when TACO Don was on.."HANG the Motherfucker!"

The grieving is so hard but the memories get us through the days. I got a cat and named him after my husband. My husband hated him way back during his TV show. We will be ok💙💙
