Julian McMahon, Nip/Tuck, Charmed and FBI: Most Wanted Star, Dead at 56

Julian McMahon, best known to TV audiences for his starring roles on FX’s Nip/Tuck and CBS’ FBI: Most Wanted, died July 2 following a private battle with cancer. He was 56 years old.

McMahon’s wife, Kelly McMahon, confirmed his passing in a statement to our sister site Deadline:

With an open heart, I wish to share with the world that my beloved husband, Julian McMahon, died peacefully this week after a valiant effort to overcome cancer. Julian loved life. He loved his family. He loved his friends. He loved his work, and he loved his fans. His deepest wish was to bring joy into as many lives as possible. We ask for support during this time to allow our family to grieve in privacy. And we wish for all of those to whom Julian brought joy, to continue to find joy in life. We are grateful for the memories.

4. Oh, no! Could he have left FBI: Most Wanted

because he had been diagnosed? His character, Jess LaCroix, had a dramatic ending. The "job" was taken by Dylan McDermott.

The world needs more people like him.

5. I am in shock

He was one of my favorite actors. I first saw him on Charmed and then went back and watched him on DVDs of the Profiler.

I didn't think he looked well during his last season on FBI's Most Wanted. He was so talented and good looking.

Rest In Peace, Julian. Thank you for your ability of making me forget the real world at least for a little while.

Loved him in everything he was on. So sad.
