Raising the minimum wage would interfere with their goal of removing bureaucracy and red tape (you know, building and zoning codes, labor laws and environmental impact studies, pesky things like that) to speed up housing, infrastructure projects, etc (aka maximizing profits).

but sadly, many states have raised it on their own, thus reducing the pressure to fix it nationally. Blue states have mostly done it, red states ain't interested.

Note that raising the min wage nationally would also be a boost to SS revenues as well.
