I saw this on a friend's post on Facebook (don't shoot me - it's how I stay in touch with family), and found it elsewhere on the internet. Gabrielle Blair has a substack (if you pay for it), but there's a free version of this on Instagram. Read the whole thing - it's devastating.

Hey, MAGA. I've seen your posts, laughing about the concentration camps that just opened in Florida. I've seen the overtly racist merch. I've read about the horrific history of "gator bait". Your behavior is gross and disgusting.

You're laughing because you think that you're safe from all of this racism, death, and destruction. But you're wrong. Trump will come for you, too. It's both predictable and inevitable. Know how I know? Because I live in Normandy, not far from the D-Day beaches.

After we visit the American cemetery, we typically offer to take our guests to the nearby German Military Cemetery as well. It's also a sacred place, but feels different than the US Cemetery. The design is more low-key and less showy, with soldiers buried two to a grave, and the graves are labeled with small, ground-level markers.

Were these soldiers immigrants? No. Immigrants were sent to work and die in the camps. Were these homosexuals or transgender people? No. They were sent to the camps. Were these political dissidents - people that criticized the government? No. They were sent to the camps. Were these Black or Brown people? No. They were sent to the camps. Were these Muslim or Jewish people? No. They were sent to the camps. So who is buried in the German Military Cemetery? The children of white, Christian loyalists.

When they have fully abused their target population, the move on to a new population to hate and abuse.
