The Normal Curve.

I'm a believer in the normal curve, not as something that controls humanity and nature, but as something that comes about due to proclivities of humanity and nature.

Mutations occur and, often, disappear due to a lack of advantage, simple chance and luck, and a good dose of things trending toward the norm.
In human political tendencies this is too often overlooked.

All of my examples are for the U.S. (for obvious reasons) but may be true of any society, religious groups and their varying sets of minorities.
In the U.S. conservatives are seen as white, usually of European descent, middle class and upper class fiscally, and "christian". The poorer and working class income persons usually follow these groups due to race and cultural association, physical similarity, and the belief/hope that they will attain some equality in the future.

Blacks, Hispanics and other minority groups, especially under our current painfully thoughtless administration, are seen as "other". Usually they are thought of as "democrats", "liberals" and as a solid voter, issues, or "needs" bloc.
This is not true. It is made partially true since the "far right" conservatives are often against such peoples and their rights, but it is not a "natural" thing.

Black, Hispanic, LGBT persons, rich, poor, and any minority "group" are probably following the normal curve.

Approximately as many, for one example, Gay men are as conservative as liberal, and a majority are more likely moderates. The fact that current American conservative policy is against Gays and their personal, not political, issues skewers the numbers.

Currently any minority group supporting this administration is seen as somehow misguided and even self-destructive. Human nature be damned.

It is a basic belief among conservatives that Gay, Trans, and other differently sexual people are more prone to certain sex crimes, especially pedophilia. Of course this isn't true, the number of pedophiles is probably somewhat roughly distributed among male humans.

A sad fact that men, and not women, are more sexually aggressive creates the fact that most sex crimes are committed by men. This is perhaps more a physical than a mental difference of our animal selves.

Very likely, with proper training, empathy, and cultural and social effort, this can be controlled but, sadly, never eliminated. The social will being the mutation that forces the norms to change.

We are all victims of our evolution, of our animal, basic natures, but, unlike most animals, we can learn and pass on what has been learned.

Will we is another issue.
