I'm waiting for Trumpster to blame Biden and his "open borders" for the catastrophe. God forbid he takes responsibility for decimating NOAA -- or anything else in his life.

for an up and coming Democrat in Texas to start singing this song? Yeah, I know we don't like the thought of capitalizing off of people's troubles, but it works for them - why not us?

If we don't, things just get worse.

I'm torn all the time between feeling trauma from all the suffering happening fearing that which is yet to come. But it has to get bad, especially to Trump voters, before we can turn this around. Many of these people are not critical thinkers or politically engaged, and will only get it when it hurts them AND they understand who did it to them.

So let's get to it, capitalize every chance we get.

Despite other posters in this thread, I still think there is potential for Texas to turn purple. At least to gain more seats in Congress. Statewide races are a stretch. But unprecedented things are going to happen.

Removing weather forecasters, cutting FEMA, moving National Guard from fire prevention to immigration....Is someone keeping track of the deaths caused by the Trump administration? Besides the cost of rebuilding cancelling out savings from personel cuts.

With every hospital closure, forecast failure, FEMA inaction and immigrant injury or death etc. caused by these felonious pieces of 💩 😡 logged and tracked and instantly accessible. Archiving is necessary to remind people who is at fault since the corporate propagandistic media will try to bury these things in an avalanche of drivellous distraction, and for the Nuremberg 2 tribunal to focus its work on bringing the perpetrators to the justice they so richly deserve. Perhaps it could be a contributory open source project here at DU?

Loss of Medicaid, closure of USAID (since I believe non-American lives also matter), fires that might have been prevented, ignoring climate change, environmental regulations removed, safety regulations removed....

A DU project would be good, but to do this justice, we need professionals. I believe he will surpass Hitler's numbers sooner or later but it will be harder to prove or connect the dots. We NEED to connect the dots.

I too think it has to include all deaths and injuries of all people everywhere, including and especially the USAID cuts which illegally and unconstitutionally are going to, as you say, result in more deaths than Stalin and Pol Pot combined. 😡🤬

Even when it happens to "good" people it is just because God is punishing everyone for the bad behavior of other humans to force them to stop it. Therefore, anything bad that happens can be blamed on the people that they think are on the wrong side of God....

So yes, they will say, Newsom's support for LGBTQ+ rights made God kill those little girls along the Guadalupe River. Pat Robertson made a career of spewing that crap.

It sounds crazy...because it is...but it is also how they justify a lot of what they do.
