Can The Tragedy Of The Texas Flooding Be Pinned On Tr**p For All The Cuts He's Made With NOAA &...

could it have been prevented (the area evacuated prior to the flood) - if these cuts weren't made?

I read this quote about this area of Texas:

"We have floods all the time. This is the most dangerous river valley in the United States, and we deal with floods on a regular basis. When it rains, we get water. We had no reason to believe that this was going to be anything like what's happened here, none whatsoever"

There was a flood in the same area in 1987 were lives were lost because of the flooding.

Why the hell did they rebuild in this area and continue to run these camps - if (as the quote above says) "this is the most dangerous river valley in the United States...."

Why is there talk about rebuilding in this area when they clean-up this flood? What's wrong with these people?

If Tr**p's actions with NOAA and his cuts to climate change/weather forecasting and firing of many personnel are to blame for lack of info and lack of warning to the people in this area to evacuate - this info should be shared far and wide in the media and the American People.

I understand he's going to go to that area - and I got to believe that he will say something stupid when commenting about this.

he doesn't accept the blame for anything. He'll just lay it off on Biden and the Dems.

You know if this happened under the Biden Administration and Joe did to NOAA what Tr**p did - they'd be calling for impeachment of Joe right now..

It seems to me that we have a legitimate beef with Tr**p on this - but like everything else - we don't even try to make an issue of things like this - and bottom line we contribute to giving Tr**p a pass. Then the media takes the lead and gives Tr**p a pass as well.

To me this is a perfect opportunity to capitalize on sticking it to Tr**p and we just pass it with jokes and absolution.

It's no wonder that Tr**p gets away with what he does. We forgot how to hold the other side accountable.

They never forget how to stick it to the Dems.

I guess bottom line - we're just too nice.

voting for this racist nihilism. THAT is the problem, the piper yet to be paid.

The deeply imbeded myriad bigotries that fuel the white supremacy.
