Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) is criticizing Sen. Lisa Murkowski for the Alaska Republicans decisive vote to advance the GOPs big, beautiful bill last week.
I was very disappointed, putting it mildly, Klobuchar told MSNBC host Jen Psaki.
Klobuchar also attacked a provision in the bill that will delay federal cuts to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) for states with high payment error rates, which includes Alaska.
They wanted to get rid of waste, fraud and abuse? Theyre actually encouraging it, she said. If Im a governor in a state, Im like, get my error rate up, because it could save me a billion dollars a year on a state budget.

(53,445 posts)she would have. Tillis' opposition, and his actually sticking with it, was not expected. Once that happened one of Collins and Murkowski had to take one for the team and she was the one who wasn't up this cycle.

(1,535 posts)...they should have a showing in a gallery somewhere. I appreciate what they did for the ACA, but for every time they do the good thing, there's ten times when they hem, haw, and tease, and fall in line. They could be the two most important people in a party full of weaklings if they chose, but they're just as weaselly and feckless as the rest of their caucus. Whatever you may think of her, Republicans have never had a badass like Nancy Pelosi, and likely never will.
