Do you envy the "blissfully ignorant"?

I sometimes do.
I’m talking about the lalalala types that just seem to be in their own world. They don’t follow politics or world or current events.
They just go through life fairly carefree and take things as they come.

If ignorance is bliss, I’ll endure the consequences of my knowledge, wisdom, and awareness instead of living in a fool’s paradise.

2. No, because they are selfish and only care about themselves.

they will be completely uninformed and therefore possibly vote for people who are totally unqualified.

They helped to get us into this fascist mess.

I know at least 3 people that fit this description. All evangelicals and all MAGAs.

7. Sometimes, when I see/read about the junk MAGAs believe/say, I remember lyrics of a satire song in Mad Magazine

The one about Amoebas done to the tune of Maria.

Amoebas have come a long way. Some have arms and legs, but still not much in the way of brains.

But I try (not well) to stay detached to a certain degree. And set boundaries on how much news you consume or talk about.
