3. Look up the Nazis' Madagascar Plan.

The Nazis' original intent was not to kill the Jews in Germany but to deport them to someplace where they could not thrive and become powerful, and Madagascar was suggested (it had previously been considered by 19th-century anti-Semites). When discrimination and the sporadic violence that began soon after the Nazis assumed power in the early '30s was insufficient to persuade enough Jews to leave Germany voluntarily, a plan was was hatched in 1940 to negotiate with France, as a condition of surrender, the use of their colony of Madagascar, to be governed as a police state, for resettlement of the remaining Jews. The deportees' assets would be seized to pay for the project. The plan was abandoned when Germany failed to seize the British Merchant Marine intended as a means of transporting the deportees, and Britain took control of the island from Vichy France.

4. I think that rump has his sights on

everybody he doesn't like. It is very significant that Super Asshole has voiced his hatred of Dems out loud in a speech or presser. So, I don't think it is "them," but "us."

At one point, it was said that Hitler was murdering 100,000 people per day--this is not a number sustainable by deportation alone. The 3,000 mandate of rump is proving to be difficult for rump's forces to come up with, so they will be grabbing anyone who even faintly resembles the original target. No one cares. They will make it up, deny the due process upon which we stand, and the people will be disappeared. This is what other dictators have done, particularly in South America. They bury people and hope no one finds out.

I think we are extremely lucky to be situated on a large land mass which isolates us from any rumpian allies who will help him do these awful things. I don't think he will ever have the means to deport the 3,000 per day goal. But, that doesn't mean he can't stick us in a jail in our own country.

I think that we need to get our heads out of the sand and see broadly what rump is doing. Why he is doing this comes from his own vile heart. His dad treated him meanly. He was praised for his meaness while a child--so what. Oh, Daddy didn't love him enough? I think it proves that if you have this basic weakness and are given power, you will throw out any semblance of humanity and will turn into a monster capable of genocide. And yet, other people are similarly situated, and they don't do this awfulness.

He can't die soon enough, in my opinion. I think he will. He is aging visibly in daily pictures, like Dorian Gray. And, people will rejoice to be free of him. All those slugs that slithered out from under the rocks will scurry away like cockroaches, in order to avoid prosecution. We'll be rid of them, too.

He's not gonna get a public funeral. His family can shovel him under at that golf course, where people will pay to be able to urinate on his remains. But, no fancy, solemn funeral parade for him. No lying in state. He has not done anything for anybody, and he doesn't deserve it.

5. Everything Trump and his administration does to immigrants is horrible and criminal.

However... having said that... I must speak up and remind people that this is not genocide. Genocide has a specific meaning, and this is not it. I'll admit it's a very charged word that people misuse to get attention, but in the process they end up diluting its actual meaning and the true horrors of real genocide.

Misusing the term "genocide" diminishes its gravity and desensitizes us to real atrocities. Such misuse dilutes the significance of the word, undermining the memory of those who suffered true genocides. To do this is offensive as it belittles the immense suffering and systematic eradication experienced by targeted groups and by distorting or denying historical truths.

7. What is going on here is not yet genocide but is on the path

We are clearly not to the genocide stage but steps have been taken that has me and other very nervous. trump and DeathSantis have built a true concentration camp and trump is "joking" about feeding detainees to alligators. This new concentration camp scares me. There are several good comparisons of the Auschwitz camp and living facilities compared to this facility

I am former member of the board of my 2400 family temple and have got to listen a good number of holocaust survivors over the years. trump/DeathSantis' new facility is a concentration camp where it is likely that normal law abiding detainees may end up (over 60% of the ICE detainees have no criminal record).
This facility is not Auschwitz but could be just the beginning

Stephen Miller and trump are engaged in a form of ethnic cleansing where they are trying to make the US whiter. That is why ICE agents are targeting random non-white persons.
