Part B does not routinely cover MMR vaccine. Part D does. Medicare Part B will cover the titer, however. hlthe2b Jul 2025 #4
I have Medicaid, not Medicare, so my answer may not be relevant to the op. Just offering my experience. oregonjen Jul 2025 #5
Yes, you are right that Medicaid will. hlthe2b Jul 2025 #6
Thanks! oregonjen Jul 2025 #7
No. Thanks for the info raccoon Jul 2025 #10
Because MMR is not routinely recommended for adults by ACIP, then only Part D would pay for it... hlthe2b Jul 2025 #3

I had my doctor order the test and it was covered (Medicaid). Not sure about the vaccine, though.

(Given the widespread measles activity had ACIP not been dismantled by RFK Jr then they likely would have ultimately considered adding that to current adult vaccine recommendations for at least some, which would have made it available under part B, I think--but alas they are gone). If local health departments have not already had funding decimated, they may be able to vaccinate you for free or at a reduced cost with MMR. Call them.

However, Part B SHOULD cover the serology (titer) if recommended by your physician and tested at a Medicare-approved lab.
