Your fealty to a Traitor cancels your God Insurance.
NONE of your performative religious yammering relieves you of your duty to the citizens who rely on you for their safety and stewardship of their Rights. We're not all down with destroying our Country to install a White, small- "c" christian Nationalist Regime. No one has EVER threatened your Right to practice your Faith, yet you threaten MY Right NOT to practice YOUR religion the way you want.
Your penchant for asking forgiveness doesn't excuse your failure to do your duty to ALL, meaning EACH American, not just MAGA 'Murkins.
Do your job like God is watching.
And LEAVE ME ALONE!

I remember back in 1969 before my father returned from Vietnam. During the sermon, the preacher was telling his flock about missionaries smuggling Bibles into the Soviet Union. That entire church is probably compromised as hell at this point.

Frankly, "quit your job" should be the default response anytime any of these fuckers mentions prayer.

And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not love, I am nothing.

Their prayers are not heard because they don't practice their religion -- they pray only for what they have done for mammon (wealth and power) -- because to break the 2nd Great Commandment is to also break the 1st.

God never commanded theocracy; He loves good and just government with, as his Son said, separation of church and state.

Theirs is a weak willed pharisaic show meant to confound intellects and excuse their part in corruption.

That is all Republican'ts say after a natural disaster or a gun massacre. If they are confronted to take legislative action such as an assault weapons ban they insist that the period of grief for the victims is just not the right time. There never is the right time for them to act. Invariably, no action is taken and the American people quickly forget the horror and return to their normal state of mass amnesia. And misguided voters keep reelecting those useless politicians.

As for that weasel Mike Johnson I hope one day he regrets his man crush for Donald and he will be held accountable for selling his soul to evil incarnate. The evangelicals who believe Donald was divinely selected by their god to save the world proves exactly how demented and craven they truly are. Taxpayers pay for legislators to find ways to improve the lives of all Americans. We do not pay them to spend their time praying in the US Capitol.

You seem to have forgotten that thoughts and prayers are only effective for mass shootings. As a MAGAt famously once said "you're not hurting the people you [need] to be hurting." Apparently you need to be reminded that these are the "deserving" Americans, you know, the ones on food stamps and welfare who never get bailed out or have the government help them out. These are not those heathen foreign liberal elites who don't rake their forests to prevent fires, these are "real" American who live in flash flood alley where people pull themselves up by their own bootstraps. You know, the ones to whom the government they love to hate OWES something!

republicans take care of the most rabid of their supporters. they satisfy the desires of the racists, the anti tax crowd, the gun nuts, and the religious fanatics. when out of power, they use every legislative trick to thwart the agenda of the democrats and then accuse the democrats of not being able to address the problems of our society. they continue to win elections because this method of governance appeals to a broad coalition of the disaffected in the united states. they govern the unTIED states whereas the democrats attempt to govern the united states. it ain’t good governance, but it is the government that we continue to vote for and the one we deserve.

All that Christians like Mike can do is pray... Jesus talked of taking action to help.

Matthew 25:40
The phrase "what you do to the least of mine" refers to a teaching of Jesus in Matthew 25:40, where He states, "Truly I tell you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me." This emphasizes that acts of kindness and service to those in need are equivalent to serving Christ Himself. The teaching encourages believers to care for the marginalized and vulnerable, highlighting the importance of compassion in our actions.
