8. Our neighbors helping is a long tradition

During the two county wide fires in San Diego about 20 years ago.The Mexican bomberos (firefighters) were parachuting into the fires along with U.S. firefighters. The Canadians were there too, with firefighting aircraft that scooped water out of Lake Elsinore to help the firefighters by spraying especially in remote areas.

There is a long history of mutual aid along our borders.
