(43,094 posts)with it on his head. Looks like a redneck trucker who can't bear to take it off, even when his wife makes him wear a suit to the annual J.B. Hunt banquet.
And to think FOXPAC climbed up Obama's ass for wearing a tan suit one time.

(22,771 posts)Upraised fist together with fake super serious facial expression mean he's trying to convey the message that he's a big strong leader, here to save the day. And failing miserably!
Seriously, after years of observing him being forced to observe him, I've noticed that he has a certain set of interchangeable gestures and facial expressions that he uses like masks and props to send whatever message he wants to send at any particular moment. He relies on these things because he is not capable of any normal human emotions other than anger, hate, and greed, and because his entire life is an act choreographed to convince others AND himself that he really is the Big Fucking Deal he wishes he was.
Unfortunately for him, he is losing his ability to maintain the BFD act convincingly. In this photo, he just looks like a doddering old man holding up his fist for no particular reason.

And will get plastered all over the internet.
This is a situation which called for empathy, which he does not possess in any form,
so he went to his tough leader act who has been through tragedy himself.
(He got an owie hurt, a boo boo on his ear so he is a brave guy he thinks.)

(29,656 posts)...and be eligible to get some military retirement at age 65 or so. Desert Shield and Desert Storm wrecked that plan. I had always done my 2 weeks of reservist active duty as a nurse practitioner in assorted Air Force pediatric clinics, which are always very busy, and where they were always happy to have an extra provider.
Active duty nurse practitioners have a suffix attached to their AFSC - Air Force Specialty Code identifying us as pediatric, family practice, or OB-GYN nurse practitioners. In the reserves, a nurse is a nurse is a nurse, even tho nothing could be further from the truth. The year I was pregnant with our older son, TPTB suddenly announced that all nurses had to have "war readiness skills."
The first week of my 2 week tour, I was put in the ER of the big hospital at Andrews AFB, and the evening shift charge nurse said, "I'll show you around tonight and you can be in charge the rest of the week." Oh, hell no. Ask me anything about ear infections, diaper rashes, infant behavior, breast feeding, sleep problems, temper tantrums. Draw blood, hook up an EKG, find stuff in a crash cart during an arrest - double hell no. I told her I was in no way qualified to do that and that it was her job to teach me things, not just throw me in.
I spent the second week in the Aeromedical Staging Flight, where patients from overseas are brought back to the States if they need care they cannot get at the bases where they are stationed. It would either be quiet and boring because no planes had come in, or chaos because 3 planes would be due in at the same time. Not much patient care, just a lot of organizing and running around.
Once our son was born I decided I needed to get out because I was not willing to be be parted from my beloved baby. I was almost 39 when he was born, and I was not willing to let anyone else raise him because of an illegal war.

(20,967 posts)My heritage is 53% Eastern European and I have one despite being under my goal for 11 years, working my abdominal muscles, etc. The bit of fat there, I call my "Survival pouch."
Melania has had one and will always have one no matter what she weighs. As she gets older, she will add body fat in her hips, buttocks, back, chest, etc. What she eats, her exercise routine, will determine her overall appearance when she reaches her 60's. Women's bodies change from svelte to frumpy. I am 73, and I can see my body changing despite a good eating and exercise regimen. Clothes do not seem to fit the same way as they did 10 years ago, despite being the same size.
Women also shrink due to the cushioning between the vertebrae. Men too.
