last week i had setup a dinner date with one of our deacons. today is the day. got a call from her stating that she is running late because a man in distress came into the church office asking for help. he needed a detox center and badly and he wanted to commit suicide . the deacon called a number of detox centers in the area but were closed late sat evening. deacon called his insurance co and got a nurse . nurse suggested that they call 911. 911 was called and they took him to the hospital for observation and help. thats who we are . we directed the young man where he needed to go. on edit: delete " they and to added the police .
