The solution to curtailing monsters is not to act like monsters ourselves.

Human nature being what it is, greed and tribalism won't be eliminated any time soon. We need to decouple money from power with a more engaged and better informed citizenry to exercize the power of our votes within the structure of the United States Constitution.

16. 20 years ago I was in Paris during Bastille Day. Spent the weekend at the Bastille Hotel on

Bastille square. When I booked the weekend trip from London, had no idea it was Bastille days. It was so much fun, including when half of the military parade got lost and came by our hotel.

When I lived in Brooklyn they had a Bastille Day festival. Vendors. Lots of Petanque games set ups!

One of the last businesses at the end of the festival was a Pasterrie. Run by a transplanted French-American!
Where I first had macarons! YUM!

I also twice went to the French Institute (Language) on the East side around ?60th St. 3 Aves long. Macaroons, crepes, objrcts to buy, etc. Great fun!

on that day (or the closest day to that on a weekend). She was fun.
