Speaker Mike Johnson said he supports Ghislaine Maxwell testifying to Congress and demands the Department of Justice release everything they have on Jeffrey Epstein.

Said Johnson: “I’m for transparency. We should put everything out there and let the people decide. Pam Bondi needs to come forward and explain it to the American people. Let’s get this thing resolved.”

My thoughts exactly. Devious bastards. They can't do anything and I mean anything, without an ulterior motive that makes them look like they are doing right. They don' do "right!"

That the so-called files are quietly being scrubbed of any references to Trump.

Perhaps I'm being too cynical and rushing to territory

Barr had two objectives in mind: remove anything that incriminates Chump (his then-current boss) and also make sure there was nothing about Barr's father in there.

Bill Barr's father may possibly have been the first blackmail victim of Jeffrey Epstein, however there's no way to prove it now. It's just that the circumstance of Mr. Barr (a high school principal) hiring Epstein to teach private school kids - when Epstein was only in his early 20s and had no college degree himself - looks very skeevy in retrospect. Now that we know how Epstein's career turned out.

Since it never got out of Committee, the rest of them can say they are for releasing the Epstein files. But if it can't get out of Committee....?

Don't mistake arrogance and deviance for stupid. I'd be willing to bet that he had shit-tons of information on every single person that indulged his offerings. And, they're sitting in a safe in a lawyer's office somewhere. Or, maybe with a trusted ally that's been paid up front to release everything once they receive the proper notification. Or, several copies of everything is stored in several locations with multiple people. Who knows? Ghislaine Maxwell has a lot of light on her right now. If anything happens to her that could be the cue to unleash the firestorm.
