It reads:
"Feed them to the Alligators" in 5 years, let's maybe
stop pretending all lives ever really mattered at all.

(11,297 posts)Its not cute or funny to use the GOP's Orange Menace's verbiage. Call it what it is... a fucking concentration camp in the making. NO ONE CAN SAY LATER - "I DIDN'T KNOW".... This is your last wake-up call folks! Trump is a fiend and his enablers should all swing next to him when justice is served.

(24,729 posts)... to me, those names are forever linked to a tragic horror and should not be diminished by overuse.
Maybe a comparison to the Confederate prison at Andersonville, GA.

(11,297 posts)The horror of those camps did not start at their naming, but their names remind us all of the depths of human depravity when we do not remain hyper-vigilant to prevent recurrences. I am re-reading Elie Wiesel's Night Trilogy currently and the impact is not made less by the passage of time, but the horror is anew when read in light of what is actually happening in 2025 in these United States...
My thinking is that using the names of Dachau and Auschwitz and talking about the Shoah, its evil architects and its lasting impact on humanity is a way of honoring those lost, and putting teeth into "never again". We MUST feel uncomfortable to stoke action from the reticent, and we MUST conquer that discomfort to ensure the past is NOT prologue again...
We must remind ourselves that unimpeded or ignored on the current trajectory and path leads to absolute horror.
I cannot abide that.

(6,594 posts)a CONCENTRATION camp. It's comprised of people who are of one singular characteristic -- being born a person that Trump, Miller, Noem, and Homan don't like. Those four people now hold the lives of thousands in their hands. They should be held accountable.

In both cases, the victim was killed by an alligator while trying to evade police in local waterways."

(24 posts)...there is an invisible word in that phrase. It's always meant 'All (white) Lives Matter'. And you heard that from a 68-year-old white man, too!
