deep vein thrombosis. He really did have it, but he'd also been neglecting his health, and there was some indication that he was doing this to get sympathy or have an excuse to quit.

Maybe Trump will soon be claiming health issues as an excuse?

That mark on his hand is not from shaking hands. It sure looks like he had an IV in there.

'Chronic venous insufficiency (CVI) can cause a range of symptoms, including leg pain, swelling, and skin changes. These symptoms often worsen when standing or sitting for long periods and improve when legs are elevated. Other common signs include varicose veins, skin discoloration, and ulcers, particularly around the ankles.'

There's little indication that he's had a heart attack (yet) but he's had Covid which can significantly weaken the heart, he's likely no longer taking the Ozempic (and is chunking up again), he has the urinary issues that usually indicate a steady stream of Lasix pills, and his age and diet are working against him. Most heart attacks anymore are survivable, IF you get prompt treatment, but he's a prime candidate at this point for either a major cardiac infarction or a stroke.

Complications of Late/Tertiary Syphilis:
Cardiovascular Syphilis: This can lead to aortic aneurysms and aortic valve disease.
Neurosyphilis: This can affect the brain and spinal cord, potentially causing meningitis, stroke, paralysis, vision or hearing loss, and cognitive decline.
Gummatous Syphilis: This involves the formation of gummas, which are destructive, localized lesions that can affect various organs.

…but my husbands first sign of stage 4 prostate cancer was grossly distended lower legs. He went to the doctor and unfortunately instead of looking for an underlying cause for the swelling they had him buy a cumbersome machine that rhythmically compressed his legs. Didn’t work. The underlying cancer was not discovered until he had a routine PSA test at his annual physical.

Whatever Trump has, I don’t believe that it’s as simple and benign as chronic venous insufficiency. It may start there, but I doubt that it ends there.

he should have been diagnosed long before swelling got that bad. And I expect he was, if he’s been getting physicals at all. They released it now because it’s pretty common and it’s a great pretense of honesty.

The hand bruise, now, that has nothing to do with CVI.
