This is a debate between Mehdi Hasan and 20 hard-corre MAGAs - it is fascinating to see just how far right (and a couple self proclaimed Nazi supporters) these people are. I found this channel a few weeks ago and really liked the style they use in these debate round tables. It is fairly long, but just scanning thru will give u the gist of it. The guy at 22:20 is a true piece of work.

Were in much bigger trouble as a country than it appears, and it appears pretty bad.

FWIW, I blocked Jubilee on youtube because it's simply ragebait.
I encourage others to due the same.

(19,143 posts)I guess they are too fast paced for some. I have watched 5+ of their round tables, and I think this one is the most fast paced.
The 1 doctor vs 20 anti vaxxers may be a better one for you to watch. It is much slower and easier to understand. Ill post it for you here.

(19,143 posts)That Mehdi was consistant and fact-based whereas the MAggots were illogical and oftentimes repulsive in their thinking
I think the 20-1 panel shows the strength of the 1.

(11,919 posts)because that batch of fascists sucked. Quite frankly, they were nearly all a bunch of asshole ignoramuses.

(31,980 posts)there isn't any point in debating these morons. They are a lost cause. There is no changing their minds, even slightly.
alittlelark
(19,143 posts)My guess (hope) is that within a year or less a number of them will change for the better - you can see it in the eyes of a few of them.
The older ones ARE a lost cause - I fully agree with that, but I have to have hope for the younger ones to break free from the brainwashing. I think these types of debates can help those whose minds have not become coprolites.

(11,919 posts)They look and otherwise seem "ordinary", and really prove that don't judge a book by its cover thing.
Yet they publicly said all that rancid shit.

(19,143 posts)They are already out and proud - and their beliefs were so extreme that some of the other MAGATS were wincing.

(19,143 posts)Once the person says they support Naziism, Fascism, or Authoritarianism. He just stopped after explaining that he would not debate with someone with those beliefs.

(19,143 posts)Of a few - I dont think he knew the extremity of the views would be vocalized. They are usually hidden behind waffle words and cult phrases.

(11,919 posts)I miss his show. Firing him really tells us all we need to know about corporate media.
I also don't think this helps the nazis. Letting them spew unchallenged might, but Mehdi didn't do that. He addressed their BS, and this video should actually be a lot more widely seen.

This video will tell you more as it did for me.
Wow, and the world thought we, the youth of the '60s, were far out. If my 78-year-old memory is not failing me at this moment (there are moments when it does), all we want is more peace and love in the world. Unfortunately, by 1965, I was in the USAF and part of the Vietnam generation.
