(10,236 posts)I listened to the whole conversation he was having during a gathering: 20 far-right conservatives who debated progressive broadcaster Mehdi Hasan as part of Jubilees Surrounded series.

(3,894 posts)It's amazing how much the idiots "debating" (more like blathering incoherently) Hasan don't know what they are talking about.
They are ripe for losing the republic.

(15,675 posts)His co-workers and managers were watching HOPING for something that would get him fired because even if he managed to keep his mouth shut about his political views, just the small amount of time he let his sterling personality shine through tells me his workplace is hell because of him.
He wasn't fired for being a facist. He was fired for being him. If he admitted to liking pineapple pizza, his managers would have tried to see if they could have used that to get rid of him.
Not that there's anything wrong with pineapple pizza, but managers would deem it controversial enough to get rid of this gem

That's why we need to keep "church and state" separated. I don't need to know someone's core religious beliefs. I have zero belief in religion at this point. To me, it's all mad-hatted nuttery
