Pete Hegseth’s Department of Defense sent the White House an 11-page memo about the steps it has taken to comply with Donald Trump’s anti-trans executive order, according to a copy of the memo obtained by 404 Media using the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). Among dozens of other actions, the Pentagon said that it not only changed the signs on bathroom doors to “reflect biological sex” but that it will continue to “monitor intimate spaces to ensure ongoing compliance” and that it will “continuously evaluate and update intimate spaces as necessary.”

...but the U.S. military (the Air Force, at least) has literally been watching people in the bathrooms for decades during drug testing.

It's completely demeaning - stall door has to be open, and someone has to actually watch them pee into the cup for the test, then take the cup from them.

They absolutely need to do it; for me, it was more the way they did it. Every place else manages to take urine samples without having someone literally standing 3 feet from you, watching you pee into a cup.

For me personally, being the watchee wasn't as bad as being tagged to be the watcher.

Or will there be cameras everywhere, including in the stalls and focused at groin level, while somewhere there are banks of computer screens that people are watching for signs of nonconforming genitalia? What if someone has had gender reassignment surgery; will they be examined more closely for tell-tale scars? Will Crotch Monitor appear on their DD-214 forms when the people assigned to this duty leave military service?
